So right now iPhone apps run in short and stubby mode (iPhone 4S and older) on the iPad. Is there a jailbreak app to force them to run using the longer iPhone 5 screen on the iPad?

That didn't work. The app runs iPhone apps at retina (not widescreen) resolution on iPad. If you already have an iPad with retina display (I have the iPad 3), then this feature is automatically enabled. Thanks though!

The app worth trying is Google Maps. I was getting tired how I could see less of the map on the iPad than my iPhone.

I rebooted and it works now. The app actually attempts to resize to full screen using larger screen dimensions. Every app runs a bit differently. Thanks!
