With my 2018 MBP I am using two monitors with charging capabilities over USB-C. Sometime my MBP stops keeping charge/charging and battery can fall to critical levels or even die on me unless I unplug and re-plug usbc cables while also dropping brightness on laptop screen. Sometimes I need to do it several times a day. I suspect it is one of the screens which bail on the charging.

I wonder if I in MacOS can see and also select which source the MBP is/should (keep) charging from? Now I can have the regular charger and two different screens connected at the same time, all with charging capabilities and still get this issue.

Many thanks!

Yes.

This is something a developer of an app that manages battery charging, say AlDente, would probably be able to shine some light on.

Yes.

Thanks, can I still launch this view in the latest Ventura? Ah, yes at the bottom of the General->About panel : System Report

So, only showing the current power source in quite a generic way (this is with two charging cable monitors and no other charger connected)
