Does anyone know how I would send an mp3 file as an email attachment from my iphone?

Use iFile. Go to the mp3. Tap on it and select Downloads Lite (install it from the app store). In Downloads Lite select the mp3 and then choose email.

Even simpler, in iFile, browse to the folder with the MP3. Tap Edit, (top-right corner), select the MP3, and tap the mail icon that appears at the bottom. No need for a separate program.

Beat me to it. I just wish there was an easier way to search for a specific file and email it too. When you search for a file and get your results, there's no way to just email the file right from the results. You have to actually remember which folder it's in (F00, F01, etc.) and then go to that folder, scroll through it until you find the song and then use the method you posted from above to email it. It would be much easier if you could just email it right from the search results.

AGREED!

I just emailed that exact suggestion to the developer. Maybe he'll add that functionality in a future update if enough people suggest it to him.

Can't you guys just use the search bar that's at the top of iFile to find the file you're looking for? Or even just type in the folder it's in and then go at it that way?

We do use the search bar but there's no way to email the file directly from the search results. Essentially, the search results only tell you what folder the file is located in - you then have to go that folder, find the file and email it from there. It doesn't sound that bad but it's a bit tedious. It would so much easier to email it right from the search results. Try it and you'll see what I mean. Search for an mp3 file you want to email to someone.

Thanks everyone. I wish there was an app that made it a little easier, but this is better than the other options-none. Lol.

I appreciate the help.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I heard back from the developer of ifile. If you hit the "Edit" button before you do the search, you can email the file right from the search results. I never would have thought to do that (it's not intuitive at all) but it does work great. Try it the next time you want to send an mp3 to someone.

Thanks for reporting back.

I tried it, but I don't have anything coming up to email?

You mean you're not getting any results or you don't know how to do it? Once you get your results, you just tap the little circle next to the name of the file you want to email and then hit the mail icon at the bottom of the screen. Make sure that you hit the "Edit" button in the upper righthand corner of the screen before you do your search though.

The problem was I was trying to email with the keyboard on. Once I got out of the keyboard view, I saw the email icon. Doh!!
