How to set default arrangement of folder for Finder?

I'm sick of having to arrange every.single. set of sub-folders the way I want every time I get to a new folder I haven't already manually set... is there a way to change this by default for every folder/sub-folder? (the arrange by... in finder)

You can set default options in the "View Options" window. Simply customize it how you like then select "Use as defaults." Any folder that you have not already customized (i.e. Subfolders) will then be set to your new default options. You won't have to keep customizing from then on.
