I have my accounts as IMAP and after I read an email on my iPad, I'd like to set it back to unread so it shows as new on my iMac.

Is there a way to do this on the iPad?

This is the iPhone forum but its the same software. When you're viewing the email on your iPad there should be a button near the top that says mark as unread. If you have your imap settings right it should stay unread on your mail program and in your actual inbox where ever that exists.

On the iPhone you look by the sender's name and click 'Details' next to it. You'll see a link for 'Mark as unread.'

I assume the iPad has something similar although I can't tell you exactly where to look.

sorry to jack, but is there a quick way to mark all messages read? I hate when i have like 7 emails, i dont feel like opening all of them.
