I installed frostwire today, and things went south... cuz the torrents are no longer automatically opened by Vuze(preferred) anymore...

how can i change the default application for certain type of files?

thanks

A. Try transmission. A lot nicer and less taxing on the system than either of those.

B. Get info on any .torrent file (cmd + i) go to the "open with" area, and choose what app you want to open it. then click the change all button.

Also, I don't suggest using things like frost wire. they are notorious for causing directory damage which could eventually cause your computer not to boot if it gets bad enough.

thanks a lot for your help... i will try transmission right now?
what about speed
which one would be the fastest among them all

Speed is only dependent upon your internet connection and that you have ensured proper ports are open in your router for bit torrents.

I like transmission because it's light weight and always works and is accepted by pretty much all BT trackers as a legit client.
