How to set output audio to HDTV?

I just bought my mini displayport and I'm having trouble getting sound to play over my HDTV instead of my MBP.

These are the only options I have whenever I select System Preferences.. > Sound > Output

Now for some odd reason, when I clicked that, it showed my HDTV as a choice lol.
