How to set up my own cron jobs?

How do I set up my own cron jobs? I want to do this for a backup procedure. I asked a couple of about backup procedures and I think a cron job is good way to go so that I don't forget to back stuff up.

Basically I want to copy the contents of say 'Folder A' in Documents to my 256MB flash drive conected to my PB via USB each Monday at 7:30am. How would I do this? I have experience with Perl but not so far as cron jobs.

i haven't used cron in mac osx but i use it in linux , you write a shell script to do what ever you want (cp x x) and then you tell cron when you execute it, it's very easy to set the rules, search for the cron guide in the user guide, also you can use [URL=http://h5197.serverkompetenz.net/cronnix/ ]Cronnix which gives you a gui for cron in case you don't like the terminal
