How to setup internet sharing? (with password)

Mac OS X 10.6.7. 2.0GhZ MacBook 5.1, 2GB 1067MhZ RAM. 160GB 5400rpm.

What the title says

everytime i select with pasword, no internet is transmitted. why is this happening. i'm on a USB modem btw

Have you clicked "AirPort Options" (assuming you meant AirPort) and created a 128-bit WEP password and clicked "Enable encryption"?
Or what exactly did you do?
And what exact "USB modem" do you use and how do you connect to the internet with it?

going to try it, i previously used the 40 one lol


i use a chinese ZTE usb 2.0 modem (yeah i'm in asia) currently using indonesian provider "Smart" CDMA EV-DO REV A

is that supported for internet sharing?
