How to skim in itunes?

When i listen to large audio files and want to go back a few seconds it's difficult to click and drag, Is there an easier method of doing this?

example- the track is 9:14 - 4:30, I want to skim back to 9:10. When I click the dot and drag back it usually skims to far back because the file is large is there a short key to go back 5 seconds or something?

Hold the Rewind, I think its ten seconds per second or somthing.

I do it all the time.
