How do I sort songs to be under 1 album? I hit select all and change sort album but still comes up seperate. The only way I can link them is if every item field is identical so that means I have to loose all artist data etc.. Is there another way?

If you actually bought the music, they would have proper tags.

You can use an app to sort it out. This is covered in many threads.

Umm... not if they bought a CD. Half the time the CDDB info is a mess.

It sounds as if you're having a problem with either a compilation or an album with lots of guest artists. For compilations, you must select all the tracks on the album and check the "Compilation" box. If it's a single artist album with lots of guest artists, you need to put the main artists' name in the Album Artist and/or the Sort Album Artist field, then sort by Album (or Album by Artist or Album by Year)

I have selected all and changed album artist to " various artists" and deleted all art and set as compilation and still comes up as seperate albums WTF ? This is driving me crazy

which of course isn't true. I have a couple hundred vinyl albums and cassettes that I am converting to mp3. Since I legally bought them, think I get the bonus of having all the tags automatically appear correctly when I convert them over?
