When I have a folder open and I want to open another folder or hard drive, flash drive etc. instead of opening into a new window it will open into the existing folder and I have to go back and re-open the first folder. This can be very annoying. How can I configure settings so it always opens in a new window?

Thanks.

Try holding down the "command" button and click on the folder you want to open. It should open in a new tab (if you're on OSX 10.9)

I just tried clicking and double-clicking on the second folder and it does not seem to do anything...

I am using 10.9.2

As an example I have a folder on my desktop open and I want to open Go > Computer and it opens in the same folder even if I hold down Command

Is there a setting somewhere that just specifies to alway open in a different window?

Thanks!
