How to stop artisan ink message

Hello,

I have an old imac OS X 10.5.8. I keep getting a "Remaining ink level" message from my Artisan 700 printer. It pops up on the dock and screen after I wake computer up. Says it's hooked to USB.


Printer is not hooked up. Need help in stopping the message.
