How to stop HP printer's double-sided printing as it's default

No matter what I do my HP Color Laser always defaults to double sided! I know this is part of the green thing but I have wasted more paper and toner with this stupid setting! How to make my M3 iMac and HP Color Laserjet DEFAULT to side-sided printing.

Hey MODS. This is not a printer/accessory problem, this is something that need to be fixed/adjusted in the iOS!

There is a choice in the macOS print dialog to use your previous settings. It also possible to create your own printer profiles. I have created a custom profile for Canon 4x6 photo paper for my Canon Pixma printer, since adjusting everything manually is just a waste of time IMO.
