How to stop these annoying notifications

I just put stuff out of the notification center and 10 minutes later an app that I took of notification center popped up a notification on my iphone while it was in sleep mode. How can I stop my iphone from pointlessly using data and battery with these apps once and for all while its sleeping?

Yeah, if you don't want any notification at all, you have to turn everything off in each app.
