How to stop video ads from autoplaying video

Is there a way to stop autoplay in video ads in Safari? I set disable to “on” under Settings Apps Safari but they still play. They are really distracting.

These are controlled by the websites themselves. Look in their settings page for network options; that’s where such stuff is usually found (same thing for Facebook).

Edit to add Twitter navigation: Settings > Accessibility, Display, and Languages > Data usage > Autoplay
