how can i stop my iphone 5 from asking me for my voicemail password every time i try to access my voicemail?

thanks!

Call your number from your phone and reset your voicemail password to something, like 1234. Then the next time it asks for your password, give it the voicemail password. Visual voicemail does use a password for authentication purposes, but it should only ask for it once. If it keeps asking for it, then the password is incorrect.

Mine is doing the same thing. Not all the time, but it does pop up and I don't think I am even in the VM option when it does

Edit: I found this Apple discussions

Visual voicemail doesn't require a password - don't even know where it would ask for one.

Too funny - I just switched phones and it is asking for a password - hoo boy was I talking out my ass...

Now I just need to remember what my password was.
