how to stream live sport onto a mac mini

I would like to be able to watch live sport (mainly football (UK) that is only available on TV & Sky) on my mac mini. There seem to be a lot of product available, and a lot of criticism of these products.
Does anyone have any experience and advice on what to get?

you can do this with something like the elgato eyetv it captures video from a few different sources and you can watch it on your mac and record, elgato.com make sure you get the UK compatiable (PAL) version

Thanks for your reply, but ...
I don't think I was clear enough as what I want to do is get the TV streamed in over broadband, not from the airwaves. The issue is as much about streaming hosts as software for the mac.
Any help appreciated.
