I find the autocomplete thing of the safari address bar very annoying, more often than not, going to wrong pages if I type a search word in and hit return.

I use IE as much as safari, and it works fine, type in a word in IE and it goes straight to google.

I don't mind the dropdown box with suggestions of where you want to go, that's used, same as IE. It's the actual address bar part that changes as you type. For example, if I type "mac" to be searched on google, safari address bar decides I mean "macrumors" as I've been there recently and opens this page rather than the google search of "mac"
