How to sync between Mail and Hotmai

I have set up Mail to retrieve emails from Hotmail. However, I could not figure out how to sync between the two. When I deleted an email in Mail, I would like to have the same email deleted in Hotmail. And when I have read an email, I would like to have the same email marked as read in Hotmail as well.

Anyone knows how this is done? Thanks!

Yeah, you have a POP account, you want an IMAP account.

I am already using gmail but haven't quite given up hotmail yet.

Is there a way to set up hotmail as imap?
