How to sync contactlist on iphone with Maverick(For messages)

Hi!
Im trying to sync my iphone contacts to my mac. I use Message a lot on my mac, but none of my contacts are in sync.

How can I do this? I use a Gmail as my iCloud user.

Setup iCloud on your phone and mac for the most simple solution.
