iPod how to sync ical & calendar with ipod touch

I need some help with trying to figure out how to sync the calendar and contacts with my ipod touch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there is a contacts tab in iTunes

check both

It says that contacts and calendar are being synced thru mobile me but I no longer have mobile me activated.

you should be able to just sync the accounts by checking them

if it still says that you have MobileMe activated (which i guess you did the trail and then stopped) you need to go to system preferences and then go to mobileme tab. then there simply delete your username and password and that will unsync everything. that way you will be able to sync contacts, and calendars with your iPod Touch
