How To Sync iPhone with Google

I just want to sync my iPhone with my Gmail and Calendar...I don't wan't my Gmail Contact Phone Numbers transferred over...Is there a way to do this so I don't have the numbers transferred over?

Yes, you can select which services you want synced. Just turn off contacts.
