how to sync macbook snow leopard with iMac lion

I recently upgraded my desktop to Lion. I didn't upgrade my MacBook with Snow Leopard because Lion will not allow my Quicken to work. But now SnowLeopard can't sync iCal with Lion. Even when I sync with iTunes, iCal won't sync. Same is true for contacts.

Snow Leopard doesn't sync iCal or Contacts with other Snow Leopard machines. It doesn't work that way. Snow Leopard will sync with gmail. Lion will sync with Gmail.
