Im using finder, but were is the original dir on mac that i need to put my mp3 files in to sync from my mac to my iPhone? The dafult "music" folder on my mac doesnt do anything when i put mp3 files there. Were can i "tell" via finder on my mac that i want to use my specific music folder?

Layer 1 obvious troubleshoots (I'm sure you have already done this but worth checking):

iCloud account is signed in to your account successfully on both devices?

Folder is saved in iCloud not local device?

In the Music app, go to Preferences > Files. You can change it from the default location listed there. Or you can be sure that's the correct location where you're trying to add mp3s.
