How to synchronize MacBookPro with MacBook

Hi, I am fairly new with Macs. I have a MacBook at work where I keep most of my work files and my personal MacBook Pro. I was wondering whether I can keep the laptop synchronized with my desktop so that changes in any one of them would also be updated in the other. I've tried rsync but it seems that rsync works only one-way.

Is there any command line and/or free application that I can use for that?
