my sister bought this thing on amazon for selfies a long rod that holds the iphone on the rod it has a button and the rod stretches out for you can take great selfies

This may not be what you're looking for? But...

Go to the camera app, and switch it to the front facing camera. Look at yourself on the screen to get a good shot, and then press the shutter button on the screen

The volume + button also functions as a shutter button.

But if I switch to the Front Facing Camera, I do not get the same quality as I get in the back Camera right ? The quality of photos using the Front Facing Camera is not up to the Mark !!

No I dont mean like a stand or Rod I was asking what is it in the Phone itself that I can do like any tips, tricks, ideas with which it becomes easy to take selfies ?

Most people stand in front of a mirror and use the rear camera. Just saying.

That's why you see a lot of selfies taken in bathrooms.

Rear camera facing you.
Press volume up button with thumb. (If held with right hand. Pointer finger if held with left hand.)

Alternate:

Plug your Apple earpods into the phone.
Set phone somewhere with rear camera facing you.
Press volume up or down button on earpods to take picture.

As people said, pushing the volume up/down button on the side of the phone is the best way to grip the phone and ensure a stable picture without blur. Trying to tap the touchscreen button can be a pain in the butt. I'm sure they have apps with timers or something, but the volume button thing is quite easy.
