So I bought a new battery for a black mid-2007 macbook from macsales (truepower battery). I want to prevent it from warping like the apple battery. For some reason, the battery life does not seem as great as the oem battery when I first bought the computer, but its definitely not terrible. Only big complaint is that the battery does not fit perfect.

I wouldn't trust any battery that didn't come from Apple. There is no assurance that they will behave in the same way Apple batteries do. For Apple batteries, this should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

that's why you need to buy Genuine Apple products, i know its insane price but there are things you can't skimp on

but things like your Mouse/RAM/HD stuff like that you can buy whatever brand you want

but Battery/Charger need to be Genuine Apple Products
