hi there. soooo, i'm looking at purchasing office v.X from someone who states that they purchased it, installed it on their mac, then uninstalled it. but, they do not remember if they registered it during the brief period it was on their mac! obviously, i only want to purchase it if it has NOT been registered already (that's the only way it will be legal, right? i want to be eligible to purchase future upgrades).
i know the best answer is most likely to have the current owner of the software call microsoft customer service (which i've already suggested to them), but is there any way i can check myself? i just want to be sure as this essential to my decision to purchase it...
sorry for the basic question here, but any info would be appreciated.
