When charging, the little lightning icon always is present next to the battery, there is no longer the little AC prongs. How can I tell when my phone is truly finished charging?

Some folks don't use the percentage display.

You can use the vote up button and keep the threads clean. Officially "this" is against the forum rules.

On the lockscreen it'll say "100% charged". You don't need the battery percentage on to see that .

Ah, gotcha. Thx. I'm one of those neurotic people that *must* have the percentage turned on. The battery icon is so small that I don't feel like it's more granular than "fifths" (20% left, 40% left, etc.). But I know how long it can go when it says 8%.

Edit: Oh, and I up voted your response. ;) Funny, I don't remember seeing that and I recharge nightly. Probably too groggy pulling it off the power in the morning.

When it says 100%.

Even then, the chargin does continue for a good amount of 10 maybe 15 min approximately (Top up charge).

On the iOS 6 you would get the plug symbol on the side of the battery icon when the phone is fully charged.

On the iOS 7 I have yet to see it.

The little symbol flashes when charges and stays on once charged.

charging is completely finished 2 hours after the battery hits 100%. i think apple says that on their website because after the battery is at 100% there is some kind of battery care going on, like trying to reactivate broken battery cells etc etc.

That picture of the iOS 6 lockscreen makes me feel sick. God it looks awful after using iOS 7. :)

The lightning bolt stops flashing once it's fully charged.
