Since Apple hasn't discontinued my 13" MacBook Pro I'm wondering whether they're actually starting a new wave of manufacturing since the keynote, and whether mine is from some old stock that was sitting around since June of 2012.

Is there a way to tell when mine was manufactured?

go to "about this mac" in the top left apple logo menu and then select "more info". It will say the model and under it will say the year and period. For example mine says:

Macbook Air
Mid 2013

That's just the time of release. Your MacBook Air is the Mid 2013 MacBook Air, that's what that's telling you.

When you bought the laptop would be valuable info

I really doubt apple makes all their laptops at once and then just sells from that batch. This would be a silly way to run a business. They are constantly manufacturing and since the 13' was not discontinued then they are likely still manufacturing it.

Not sure why you care anyways. Its about whats in it and the model.
