My older 23" aluminum frame ACD now has a black screen. The little power light at the bottom right of the screen still glows. The computer it is attached to works when hooked to my 30" ACD, so it's not a GPU problem. Is there an easy way to test the power brick or DVI connection without taking it in to a repair shop? The diagnostics would probably cost more than picking up a replacement off eBay or Craigslist.

can you hook the power supply from your 30" up to your 23? I cant imagine the difference it wattage would make a difference... similar to ipad chargers for iPhones and my larger 15" MBP charger hooked to my 13".... device won't use more than it needs im sure.

FWIW, I just bought a 65watt for my 3rd 20" ACD on ebay, with original apple power cord, for $22 shipped.
