The Great White North Eh
OK, so I bought some ram for my ibook,
a 1gb stick of Kingston Value Ram....
I know kingston VALUE ram...
The micron I wanted was out of stock and a no go for special order...
Anyways I took a chance on the kingston. the chips themselves are samsung (possible good sign right?).. I installed the ram and it does show up :) it passes memory test via techtool pro another check,
BUT
when i tried to test via apple hardware test it had an error
yet it seems to be working, everything else likes it.
What can I do to truly test it?
I'm going to run SimCity 4 rush hour as it is a real big hog and see if it halts or panics, but any other ideas are welcome.
What signs should I look for, i have a week to bring it back for full cash refund.
Thanks guys

OK so I put it thru the paces of that program.. BUT my wife just called me at school to let me know that the ibook has frozen on her 4 times requiring a hard reset. The ram did pass all the checks with flying colours though.
Any ideas here or am I going to return the ram and buy elsewhere:confused:
