I know the way to change the icon for applications and folders. However, when I use the same method to change icon for my usb flash disk, it failed. Like the picture shown.

Please tell me how to deal this problem, thanks in advance :D

To get access to the file u need to right click on it and click get info and at the bottom it will have a list of users that have specific privileges, use ur password to unlock the little lock then add your name (if it's not there already) then change it to read/write. Then lock it again.

it does not work, I changed all access to R&W but still get the save issue.

It could be that it's not formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled). You can try this:

#0 Make sure that all your important data is backed up on the computers HD, we're going to erased the flash drive.
#1 Select the Flash Drive in the list
#2 Click the Erase tab
#3 Set the format to "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)"
#4 Name the drive
#5 No need to change the security settings, "Don't erase data" is fine.
#6 Click erase and wait till it finishes, you drive should be formatted as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" now.

Hopefully those are all in the right order!

Thank you so much, but it still does not work :(
Anyway, thanks again.

Open the ICNS file in preview, select and copy the image from there and then paste it into the get info window of your drive.
