hi,

I've got a lot of junk on my hard drive. expired demos and games were I no longer have the disc, etc.

how do I delete everthing associated with these unwanted programs like the files in the library and such?

thanks.

i personally just reinstall osx from time to time.

Why??
It is really not necessary
It doesn't get clogged and inefficient the way Windows can

Unless you are experiencing problems, it is probably not needed

Or, you can run something like Onyx to make sure you maintenance scripts are up to date and your caches are emptied

based on the few you guys have given so far, I was able to find more.

but each only has a few demos before expire and will of course themselves become a problem to uninstall complete also??

For the most part, deleting the App is sufficient and is the standard uninstall for OS X
Any residual files are miniscule and are not a problem at all
They take up virtually no HD space and do not affect your system or drain resources

Some Apps come with their own uninstaller and that is the preferred method

This is not Windows, and you do not have to be paranoid about stripping your system

Honestly, it is not an issue
