How to transfer from PC to MAC

I just got Seagate .5G external drive that was PC formatted ( and I want to transfer some files from two PC's and some from MAC and ultimatly use this drive as I storage drive on my MAC.....
Right now I have some files from on of the PC's on the drive but I can't store anything from MAC (folders have little lock icon on them)....
What procedure should I take to have all of these files on my drive?

Download NTFS-3G so OS X can read and write NTFS formatted drive

btw its Mac not MAC.
