i'm a soon to be 1st time mac person and i need to find out how to transfer all my bookmark favorites to the mac? thanks

Browser Favorites or Bookmarks
You need to export your Favorites/Bookmarks into a format that your Mac can understand. Then copy them to your Mac into a location that the Mac’s browser, Safari, will find it. Here’s how:

Internet Explorer:

Switch back to your PC and launch Internet Explorer.
Choose Import and Export from the File menu.
Export your Favorites and save the file as “Favorites.html” on your Windows desktop anywhere else you can find it.
Switch back to your Mac and copy the file “Favorites.html” from your PC to your Mac’s desktop.
In Safari, select the File menu and choose Import bookmarks... From the dialog box, locate the bookmarks/favorites file and click Import.
FireFox, Netscape 6/7 or another browser:

Switch back to your PC and launch your browser.
Select the Bookmarks menu in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then choose Manage Bookmarks. The bookmarks management screen will appear.
Select File > Export Bookmarks.
Name your file “bookmarks.html” and save it to your Windows desktop or anywhere else you can find it.
Switch back to your Mac and copy the file “bookmarks.html” from your PC to your Mac’s desktop.
Launch Safari.
Select the File menu and choose Import bookmarks... From the dialog box, locate the bookmarks/favorites file and click Import.
