It doesn't seem like anyone on the Internet has had this problem yet, so I thought I'd explain.

I finally upgraded my Mac to El Capitan the other day because my fan was going berserk. The problem was fixed, but handoff--a feature I had previously disabled--was turned back on.

So, as before, I went to System Preferences to turn it off. I unchecked "allow handoff" or whatever, but it's still on. Every time my mom is using Messages, Safari, Calendar, Mail, etc. on her iPhone, I get a stupid little notification on my Mac.

Does handoff have to be turned off on both devices? It used to be that I only had to disable it on here.

Please advise. Thanks.
