I prefer that my itunes not count plays from ipod touch. How do I disable the play count feature
 
I don't think there's a way to disable it, but you can hide the column on iTunes by going to View -> View Options then unchecking Plays.

Not sure why you'd want to disable it though, it's a good way to keep track of what songs you like, even if you don't realize you like them that much.

I often use shuffle on my ipod so I don't find it to be an accurate descriptor of what I "like".
 
You could set iTunes to manually manage music on your iPod, that way the play count doesn't get synced.
