How to turn off signatures in emails received

In Mac Mail is there a way to turn off peoples signatures in emails? They're sometimes SUPER annoying....and are just a waste of space. I already know who sent the email. =)

Typically the signatures are added as regular text on the end of the message. Because of this, there is no "tagging" that your mail app can look for so the signature can be stripped.
