I've an iMac with ElCapitan and Xcode 8.2 (with command line tools installed). I'm going to perform a clean install of Sierra (10.12.6), but I'll use then Migration Assistant in order to keep applications and settings from a backup.

However, in the case of Xcode, I think the command line tools come in different packages for ElCapitan, Sierra... so I think I don't want Migration Assistant to do something wrong, and I prefer to install a new Xcode.

How can I completely uninstall Xcode 8.2, even with the command line tools?

Is it just a matter of deleting Xcode from the Applications folder?

Don't the command line tools install anything outside the Xcode app bundle? Don't even symlinks?
