How To Unlock Folders Part II

Ext hard drive "Free Agent"

Was born on a PC, now plugging into OS X

The folders on the drive are locked on the MAC

Get Info = "Locked" checked & grayed out, Sharing & Permissions is "read only" w/ no options to change it.

Now what?

It's formatted as NTFS, you'll have to reformat it ...

Or install NTFS-3G and MacFUSE.

Never mind that, stupid question.

Installed NTFS-3G and it unlocked the folders
Sharing & Permission = Custom Access

What is MacFuse?

MacFUSE is supposedly the second part of NTFS-3G, but if it working for you - great.

I would be 99% sure that the NTFS-3G installer includes the MacFUSE installation as well.
