How to unlock my iPad

After installing iOS 9 on our iPad 2, our almost 3 years old son manage to lock the iPad and now we cannot unlock it as we don’t know the password and we get no option to change it with apple code sign in. Also every time we try a password make us wait for longer and longer in order to retry.

Anyone can help?
