I am new on the site, new with iPhones and could use some help. I have purchased the iPhone 4s and it has the IOS 5.1 on it. I do a lot of international travel and need my ATT locked phone unlocked. I have been trying to find a solution for this online and so far seems that there isn't a way to unlock the IOS 5.1, at least as of yet.

Then I found this website www.unlockiphonetool.com and I emailed them and got this as a response:

again it's a scam for 5.1 no chief buy wait and see. A sim method like gevey is most likely . You just have wait. Or sell yours and buy a factory unlocked.

In case my answer was confusing, there are reports the R-Sim sim interposer works for 4S on 5.1 firmware.
Google for more info.

The only reliable source is the Dev Team blog. Anything else is a scam. You can usually get fairly reliable information here too.
