How to unlock the iphone device

Hi All ,

I am new to this technology I have an iPhone which is from Australia. I am from India. I want to unlock it so that I can use it with any other service provider here in India for native app development. Can an iPhone be unlocked just for a while like using some software, and like it can be restored later.

Is there any such way or any software to do it?
