Hi,

I have recently deleted an old hotmail account. It was never used and had been hacked. Now that it is deleted, whenever anyone sends me an email to my .Mac account they are given a failed delivery notification. It says that the hotmail address is no longer active. I am getting what they have sent as it's addressed to the .Mac address though. The thing is I have never knowingly linked these accounts. I have been through all the system prefs and there is no mention of them being linked.! I hope this makes sense? If anyone can help me resolve these I would be very grateful. I have searched all day and can't find a solution. :)

If you logon to your MobileMe account (www.me.com), go into the Mail part of it, then check Preferences, on the General tab is a field where you can automatically forward emails. If that has your hotmail address, it might cause the problem you're talking about.
