How to update iPad 2 to from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1?

I have got an iPad 2 which currently has 4.3.3 on it. I tried to download 5.0.1 online and then restore the iPad using that file, but iTunes shows an error message.
I don't want to update to 5.1, otherwise I would lose jailbreak. Is there any way I can update to 5.0.1?
When I try to update, it says "the ipad could not be restored. this device isn't eligible for the requested build"

Sorry, but you needed to update to 5.0.1 before 5.1 was released. Apple only allows devices to be updated to the most recent firmware.

If you had saved SHSHs for the iPad before 5.1 was released, there may be a way to do it -- I haven't exactly kept up with this, so I'm not sure if iPad 2 works this way or not -- but I'm guessing you haven't saved SHSHs either, in which case there is nothing you can do.
