I have a 2014 macbook pro running Big Sur, Apple no longer supports my machine for updating the OS, what are my options to update to latest OS without breaking anything?
With unsupported OS installs there's no guarantee made about not breaking anything, meaning there's always some risk involved (though with Monterey on a 2014 MacBook Pro I doubt anything major will break). I recommend backing up your Mac or installing the unsupported OS on another disk partition if there's anything important on it.
