How to update

Maybe a silly question but what's the best way to update to iOS 7 on Wednesday and Why?

1. Using iTunes updating existing data
2. Over the air
3. iTunes fresh install - don't carry any data across from iOS 6

It would be useful to know what phone you have; however, most say a fresh install. I would personally would have at least installed via iTunes. I do the beta updates OTA, but iOS 7 was originally installed through iTunes on my iPhone 4S. Worked great.

Option 3 would be the ideal way to go. That way no stale information is transferred from iOS:6 to 7.

I have a iPhone 5.

The only thing I'd really like to keep would be my text messages....

Maybe if I remove all APPS, email accounts, music etc, then a re-set the device with out removing data before a iTunes update would be a good idea?
