How to upgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 jailbreak and unlocked

Hi,
My phone works perfectly on 1.1.3. I want to upgrade to 1.1.4, but i don't want to have to restore my phone. Is there any other way, or is this just the procedure? Do i restore, activate, upgrade, and then unlock?
